This is a photo and video journal of our travel to the magnificent province of Bohol featuring day 2 of our travel itinerary - visit Loboc Wildlife & Zoocolate Thrills, both wildlife sanctuaries that will inspire you to be in tune with nature. 

Getting There

From our previous destination, The Chocolate Hills the travel time to Loboc Wildlife & Nature Park is around 43 minutes from a private car. But we rented a tricycle, a famous local transport in the Philippines.

Golden ricefields

Bohol is primarily an agricultural province. Vast hectares of land are dedicated to planting rice. Traveling around Bohol, one can help but gaze upon the golden landscape of freshly harvested rice fields.

Loboc Wildlife and Nature Park

This is a place where you can have a close encounter with wild animals and take as many pictures as you can.

Philippine Tarsier 

The Philippine Tarsier, locally known as mamuwag in Cebuano languages, is a species endemic to the Philippines. They are small primates, but not the smallest in the world. Madagascar’s pygmy mouse lemur is the smallest primate in the world.

Our group enjoyed observing the Philippine tarsier up close & personal.

Burmese Phython - Albino variation

The Albino variation is considered a color mutation and growing in popularity with hobbyists. The albinos are white with patterns in butterscotch yellow and burnt orange. They are not a different species of Burmese pythons.

ZOOCOLATE THRILLS

Another tourist attraction nearby Loboc Wildlife & nature park is the Zoocolate Thrills. It also features nature-tripping encounters with wild and domestic animals. When we got there, we thought the place is close. We got to enjoy this place just me & my wife.

We rented this tricycle, famous local transportation, to roam us around the area from Tobigon to Carmen to Loboc.
