MABUHAY!
|
As if you traveled through time in the Philippines, back at the beginning of the 20th century when you're inside Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar, a themed vacation resort in Bagac, Bataan, only 3 hours ride from Manila. The unique concept of this resort is the collection of ancestral houses and buildings-most of them over hundred years old, gathered from different places in the Philippines, intricately restored to be part of a historical village near the banks of Bagac's seashore. These historical houses were turned into resort's accommodation- you are actually living inside a museum while having fun at the beach.

CARINOSA FOLK DANCE - (meaning the loving or affectionate one) is a Philippine dance of colonial-era origin from the Maria Clara suite of Philippine folk dances, where the fan or handkerchief plays an instrumental role as it places the couple in romance scenario.
PANDANGGO SA ILAW (DANCE OF LIGHTS) The dance evolved from Fandango, a Spanish folk dance, which arrived in the Philippines during the Hispanic period. This dance, together with the Jota- a lively music, became popular among the illustrados or the upper class and later adapted among the local communities. In the early 18th century, any dance that is considered jovial and lively was called Pandanggo.
ITIK-ITIK FOLK DANCE - originated in Cantilan, Surigao del Sur, is a dance with short choppy steps similar to ducks.
