MINALUNGAO NATIONAL PARK, NUEVA ECIJA PART 2

November 1, 2018
MABUHAY!

This is a photo and video journal of our family bonding travel to the magnificent town of Nueva Ecija featuring our visit to Minalungao National Park where I celebrated my 47th birthday.
THE HANGING BRIDGE
The hanging bridge is a very famous attraction in the park. Approximately 100 meters in length, crossing this bridge will fire up one's adrenaline rush perfect for adventure seekers. It is good to note that the bridge does not sway much though there is much foot traffic along the bridge
This hanging bridge leads to some hotels if you want to stay overnight.

The location of this bridge is so magnificent that it was used as a location scene for a famous Philippine primetime television show.

This bridge is also an ideal location for photos with majestic limestone cliffs in the background.

We stayed overnight in this simple but cozy hotel.

My wife is relaxing in the lobby of the hotel.

If you are a group of five, you can rent a bamboo raft for one day at Php 700.

THE MAJESTIC LIMESTONE CLIFFS
Picture-perfect scenery that needs no filter. It is an awesome creation that needs to be discovered and enjoyed. These limestone cliffs were intricately carved by nature over a long period.

THE MUNICIPALITY OF PAPAYA
We visited the municipality proper to buy some food. This is a small municipality with lots of friendly people.

BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION
I chose to celebrate my 47th birthday in this secluded paradise to spend precious, uninterrupted time with my family. With no television, internet, or cellphone signal to distract us, we were free to enjoy genuine conversations. Together, we recalled the funny moments that made us laugh and the tough times that tested us but made us stronger. This simple yet meaningful bonding reminded us of what truly matters — love that keeps us united and resilient as a family.

I'm really very grateful to God that I have a very loving family through thick & thin.

A final glimpse of this paradise during our second day stay here.

These local boatmen are building a new bamboo raft.

On our way back home, we stopped by this local diner to have breakfast.

The bronze bust of Mrs. Corazon Aquino, the 11th President of the Philippines, is situated in the midst of the public municipal park.
