NATURE TRIPPING AT BATAAN NATIONAL PARK

April 7, 2012
MABUHAY!

I was searching for the exact location of Kairukan falls on the internet and I found out that it was located on Sitio Kairukan of Brgy. Binaritan within the radius of Bataan National Park. This is a photo journal of our family vacation travel adventure in Bataan National Park.

GETTING THERE
From our former house at Arayat, Pampanga, at 5:00am, we navigated the road leading to San Fernando City. Then we headed to Dinalupihan, Balanga City then Morong, Bataan. At 7:00 am, we reached Brgy. Binaritan. Then we continued our journey and stop at the gate of Bataan Technology Park Inc. (BTPI) and asked the security guards stationed there for some directions.

Stopping by on a small Aeta community, I learned that Kairukan falls is 4 to 5 hours more from where we are. It was already 10:00am so if we insisted, we will be there around 3:00pm The local folks told us also that it will be very dangerous for the children to walk on the steep and rough jungle trail leading to the falls. That is why those tourists who really want to go there bring along their tents and sleep in a nearby camping site then they must start hiking around 5am.

SWIMMING ON A SMALL RIVER
So not to spoil the fun, the local folks send us two kids to guide us to a nearby river where we can swim and have our picnic.
