Mabuhay!
This is a photo and video journal of our budget travel to Bali, Indonesia featuring day 2 of our travel adventure visits among the rice fields and tried coffee tasting in Alas Harum.
Indonesian Street Foods
An exciting part of traveling is tasting street food. Street food is the pulse of the taste buds of the locals. Whenever you see a food cart with lots of locals enjoying the food, that is the best recommendation you can get to try and taste that street food at once. Different places offer lots of variety of street food, and Bali of course has lots to offer.
I have already forgotten the name of this street food. |
There are lots of peculiar statues representing Hindu deities. |
Hindus show respect to the gods by offering money or food (rice, nuts, or fruit) to the shrines of the gods. |
We stop by a local diner to savor their specialty meal. |
Filipino & Indonesian cooking is similar in some styles like sauteing with garlic and onions. |
The canteen staff preparing the vegetable ingredients. |
Fried rice with scrambled eggs. |
Mi Goreng noodles |
Ginger root drink |
Our friendly local taxi driver
Wayan is the owner of a transient house for tourists & a taxi operator. |
Indonesia, a country member of South East Asia, similar to the Philippines, has a lot of rice fields. The view of the rice fields is very relaxing.
Rice terraces
Stepped rice plantations are usually done in sloping hills or mountains and are very common in South East Asia.
