construction project that includes the renovation of the devotees' prayer hall at Nuestra Senora Virgen De Regla Parish at Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu.

FIRST VISIT
Our company was invited by the parish priest to check out his proposed renovation of the devotees' prayer area. Then I learned that the modern church building which houses the image of the canonized
Virgen De Regla - Patroness of the Rule, is only a reconstruction of the original house of worship built in 1700.

Then he also toured us around the management building beside the parish church which still has the original adobe block walls, wooden gates, steel grills, and paintings. I saw also some wooden chests during Spanish time used to safe-keep the donated money from the devotees.
Below are the original paintings from Africa in which the devotion to Nuestra Senora Virgen de Regla began. The parish priest Francis Avalle, an Augustinian friar, brought one of these paintings to Cebu in 1700 then an image was carved to replicate the religious icon. This also explains the dark skin of the image of the Patroness of the Rule.

Near our hotel is this restaurant serving
unlimited chicken wings and rice for Php 199. We tried a variety of flavors from the ordinary to the super hot.😡😡😡
