Mabuhay!
This is a photo and video journal day 2- Part 2 of our group travel adventure in Japan - a unique but incredible country, featuring our visit to the Fushimi Inari-Taisha Shrine in Kyoto, Japan.
Meeting our tour guide
Our Japanese lady tour guide is very nice and accommodating. She always flashes a smile at us and that really brightens our day
From Kyoto Terminal, we boarded a tour bus to Fushimi-Inari Station.

Strolling towards the Shrine
After alighting near Fushimi-Inari railway station, we walked around 1 kilometer to reach the shrine.
It is really awesome to see a Japanese mother dress her son in the traditional costume of Japan - the Kimono. |
Savoring Japanese street food along the way
Takoyaki
Takoyaki is a ball-shaped Japanese snack made of a wheat flour-based batter and cooked in a specially molded pan. Its filling is usually diced octopus.
Torii is a sacred gateway of a Shinto Shrine. It is a portal to the deities' holy area.
Fushimi Inari-Taisha Shrine
The second Torii is famous for taking photo souvenirs due to its nearness to the Roumon edifice. |
The Roumon
The worshipper needs to pass by the Roumon before entering the main worship hall.
