JAPAN Travel Experience, Kyoto Train Terminal - Day 2 Part 1

June 26, 2019
Mabuhay!
This is a photo and video journal of our group travel adventure in Japan - a unique but incredible country, featuring our train ride to Kyoto Train Terminal.

Even the narrow streets and small alleys are very clean.

On major streets, sidewalks are extensive with distinct road traffic markings and a center island full of trees & grass.

There are vendo machines in every street corner.

You can hardly see garbage cans in the streets. Japanese are very tidy when it comes to their environment.

There is also a primary gate and barrier for added safety prior to boarding the train.

The trains are very spacious and not that crowded.

Enjoying the scenic view of the cityscape and the countryside.

This morning as I observed, you can see the intense serious look of a working-class Japanese when they board a train and go to their respective workplaces. No one is talking to each other. Loneliness is a social problem in Japan. In February 2021, the Japanese government appointed its first cabinet minister in charge of policy on loneliness and isolation and established an office responsible for countermeasures to these issues.

We transferred to another train.
