VISIT TO PAWIKAN (PHILIPPINE SEA TURTLE) CONSERVATION CENTER

April 17, 2012
MABUHAY!

The Philippine Sea Turtle locally known as PAWIKAN is considered endangered specie and  nowadays in near extinction. Efforts are now being made toward the conservation of this rare sea creature and one way is the establishment of the PAWIKAN CONSERVATION CENTER, an eco-tourism center that aims to educate the Filipinos how important it is to preserve these beautiful animals.

GETTING THERE
The center is located in a beach resort at the village of Nagbalayong, Morong, Bataan, north of Manila which is very near in Subic Bay. It's almost 2 hours from our place in Angeles City. The map below shows our travel route from our place in Angeles City.

SOUVENIR PHOTOS WITH THE SEA TURTLE
We were given an opportunity to hold and take photograph this beautiful sea creature. They are so meek and gentle that you can feel no resistance from them during the photo shoot.
