This is a photo and video journal of Day 3 - Part 1 of our family outing to Cagayan de Oro City, Mindanao Island, Philippines. It highlights our visit to Camp Phillips in Bukidnon Province, where pineapples are cultivated for a popular pineapple juice product.

Camp Philips, Bukidnon
I learned from an online article that they called these camps not because a US military base is located here, but because the Americans who established the plantation adapted the name "camp" from the US when providing housing for their workers. They used to call them Camp 1, 2, 3, and so on.
However, when the Americans left, they named Camp 12 after the pioneer Lawrence Phillips.
