MABUHAY!
This is a photo and video journal of our family nature tripping travel in Cavinti, Laguna featuring our visit to Cavinti underground river and cave complex.
Cavinti Cave complex is a subterranean cave with an underground river discovered by a local farmer looking for firewood on 2011. It was opened to the public in 2013 as the newest ecotourism destination in the province of Laguna.

The registration area is located at Brgy. Tigatib, Cavinti, Laguna, This is the dammed portion of the Bumbungan River, the same river that supplies water to Cavinti falls. It resembles into a small man-made waterfall wherein tourist can swim in its cool water and cottages were also set up around this beautiful resort, a perfect place for picnic grounds.

The registration fee for the cave tour is Php 500 per visitor which includes the rental of your personal safety gear and provision of a cave guide. The rental fee for the 4X4 vehicle is Php 2,500 for a two way trip to and from the cave location. Cash tip for the cave guide and tour guide if you have is voluntary but highly recommended. LUNCHTIME
MEETING OTHER VISITORS
We were fortunate enough to meet the owner of the Hapee toothpaste, the only Philippine made toothpaste to compete with giant multinational companies - Mr. Cecilio Kwok Pedro, a Presbyterian Christian. He is running a deaf school in Cavinti, helping disabled children gain their dignity through education. He showed us a large species of ant, blue-green in color, resting on his stick, a very humble man. .
We met also some visitors who came here just riding their bikes.
