THE INDEPENDENCE PALACE
The heat was intense this mid-day of Friday. We rested on a park to cool down on a bench under canopy trees just right across the Notre Dame Cathedral and enjoyed several Vietnamese street foods. Then my wife and I continued our visit to a popular travel interest in Vietnam called the Independence Palace also known as The Reunification Palace. But unfortunately, it was closed for staff's lunch break and will reopen at 1:30pm. These are the photos we took in this historical edifice.

PEOPLE'S COUNCIL PEOPLE'S COMMITTEE GOVERNMENT BUILDING
I'm not quite sure what is it but from the looks of it, surely you will consider this building a palace or a house of a king.

TURTLE LAKE
This is a small park with a water pond and fountain located inside a street rotunda. It has also a viewing deck around 6 meters in height for sightseeing the nearby shops and busy streets. This is just another ordinary park but very popular with young people. Well probably because of its romantic setting with dim street lights and the cool breeze brought about by the water from the pond. Street vendors take your order of street food and get it from surrounding food shops.

VIETNAMESE LOVE FOR MOTORCYCLE
My first and lasting impression of my travel to HO CHI MINH City is the abundance of the motorcycle. It's a common sight in the street like a couple with kids are all in one motorbike, riding in tandem, merchandise in bikes and motorbike taxi is available almost every street corner.
