NATURE TRIPPING ADVENTURE IN REAL, QUEZON PROVINCE

Traveling the dirt road, you'd be lucky if you see another vehicle-even motorcycle or tricycle pass through this route for another 8 to 24 hours. This is how I remember the rough road leading to the mountain resort at Real, Quezon owned by my former employer. This is supposed to be another one of those team-building activities with my office mates and it turned out to be one of the most unforgettable nature tripping that I really enjoyed.

When we arrived, the only sound I hear is the cheerful sounds of birds singing because the place is so isolated and very far from the noise of the daily traffic scene in Metro Manila. Our cell phones don't have a signal also.

It was the 3rd day of PHILCONSTRUCT 2016, one of the biggest and most anticipated construction exhibition in the Philippines. The event venue was in SMX Convention Center, SM Mall of Asia, Pasay City.

FALLING IN LOVE WITH THE HISTORIC CITY OF VIGAN - ARCHITECTURE AND TRAVEL

Traveling to Vigan City gives you the flavor of the old Spanish era in the Philippines. Old stone houses, cobblestone streets with old model lamp posts, horse-drawn carriages locally known as "Calesa" and other ancestral stuff give you the feeling you are frozen back in time. The historic city of Vigan is the best-preserved example of a planned Spanish colonial town in Asia and included in the UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE COLLECTION

THE VIGAN CATHEDRAL
Vigan Cathedral, known this modern times as the Metropolitan Cathedral of the Conversion of St. Paul the Apostle. The original building was built in 1574. The Cathedral is part of the UNESCO world heritage site.

I was working for La Luna Enterprises, when my wife Leila, who is also working with me as a marketing officer, received a phone call from an American (sorry I lost his business card and I already forgot his name) working for Habitat for Humanity. He sends to me through fax machine the detailed description of what they need- a design and build construction of a community center building at Maragondon, Cavite. He told me I have 1 (one) week to submit our technical and cost proposal at the Ramon Magsaysay building on Roxas Blvd. A week later, I went to their office to submit our proposal. I met this white American guy, around 40 years old, very nice and accommodating, and requested me to explained our bid. He told me to give him another week to decide and prepare the purchase order.
