MABUHAY!
|
The completed Villa Celine Resort |
This project is located in a secluded subdivision in
Barangay Masaya, Bay, Laguna. My boss one day approached me and showed me some old plans intended for a resort. When I checked out the design, the cottages look like they are dormitories or apartments in Manila. The design of the swimming pool is the standard rectangular shape and the design of the amenities is not that interesting. So I went to the drawing board (literally- I already forgot how to use the AutoCAD software) and drew some interesting shapes. When I showed it to my boss, he asked me when can we start the
construction.
GOING THERE
I really enjoy the
travel going there at the project site. From our head office in Pasig, our driver and I depart around 5 to 6 am to avoid the morning rush traffic. When we reached Los Banos, Laguna, the town before Bay, we stop to buy the famous homemade coconut pie locally known as BUKO PIE.

THE OTHER WAY - SHORTCUT?
|
The majestic Mount Makiling |
For adventurer like me, I often prefer the road through Mount Makiling to escape the traffic of Los Banos city proper where we pass by the famous MAGNETIC HILL - you put your car to neutral at the bottom of the hill and when you release your foot at the break, experience the ride upward that seems to pull you uphill (sorry we are not able to try it)

Then passing through the BOYS SCOUT OF THE PHILIPPINES national headquarters and campsite.
Then going thru the UNIVERSITY OF THE PHILIPPINES, Los Banos Campus, Laguna
and also passing by The International Rice Research Institute.

THE CONSTRUCTION
The first part of the
construction is the CHB fence. We did the Filipino ritual of pouring the chicken blood in every footing corner to ward off evil spirits and avoid accidents during the course of construction.
