Angkor Thom is not a temple, which is a very common misconception. As the name implies, Angkor meaning "city" and Thom meaning "big".
THE ROYAL PALACE & PHIMEANAKAS
The Royal Palace was built by King Suryavarman I and it was used from 11 to 16 century AD. It was transformed and restored several times.
