MABUHAY!
This is a photo and video journal of our budget
travel to
Kota Kinabalu in the island of Sabah,
Malaysia.
ARRIVAL AT KOTA KINABALU AIRPORT
From
KLIA2 airport,
Malaysia, we arrived at Kota Kinabalu at 1:00am. This is our second time to visit the island of Sabah.
AKINABALU YOUTH HOSTEL
This is our second time to stay in this hostel located at Jalan Gaya, which is a walking distance from some nearby tourist point of interest like the Padang Merdeka, Atkinson Clocktower, Signal Hill Observatory, KK Esplanade, and Jesselton Point Harbor. This street is also very near the Kota Kinabalu City Hall. Some of the staff here are my wife's Facebook friends.

Akinabalu Youth Hostel is a 30 minutes drive from the airport. |
|
We stayed in this dormitory type room for MR 25 per visitor per night. |

JALAN GAYA SUNDAY MARKET
Another attraction in this area of Kota Kinabalu is the Sunday market at Jalan Gaya which is a half day bazaar trade fair. You can take a leisurely walk and purchase an item of your interest. Almost every kind of local product is available here for a very reasonable price.
