BUDGET TRAVEL TO INCREDIBLE INDIA: VISIT TO NEW DELHI

This is a photo and video journal of our budget travel to the incredible country of India featuring our visit to New Delhi, the country's capital city.

Heading farther north is a 3-hour bus ride from Agra to New Delhi, the India's capital city.

VISIT SWAMINARAYAN AKSHARDHAM TEMPLE
This temple in New Delhi is a Hindu house of worship that opened on November 6, 2005. Here we will meet our Indian friend who will guide around the city. We were not able to go inside due to lack of time because today is also our flight to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

We were treated to a nice Christian diner serving meat. Christian and Muslim restaurant are the eating place where you can eat meat except for beef which is taboo in India.

INDIA GATE
India gate is a war memorial dedicated to 70,000 soldiers of the British Indian Army who died in the period of 1914-1921. The India Gate, even though a war memorial, evokes the architectural style of the triumphal arch like the Arch of Constantine, outside the Colosseum in Rome, and is often compared to the Arc de Triomphe in Paris, and the Gateway of India in Mumbai.
