BUSINESS TRAVEL TO CHINA 2018: VISIT TO GLASS BRIDGE

October 30, 2018
MABUHAY!
This is a photo and video journal of my business travel to China featuring our visit to the glass bridge which is day 3 of our itinerary.

BREAKFAST TIME
My day started with breakfast in Jiagao Business Hotel. My meal consisted of an authentic Chinese noodle delicacy locally known in the Philippines as "pancit", a hard-boiled egg, boiled lettuce, dumplings, and variety of Chinese bread locally known as "pao". What a delicious way to start your day!

ARRIVAL TO THE THEME PARK
As this is a business trip, we are going to test today the mock-up samples of a curtain wall glass in a laboratory in Guanzhou City. But the team deployed there notified us - the inspection team, that they encountered some delay. So our Chinese host decided to tour us to a nearby theme park with its famous attraction - the glass bridge which is truly an engineering wonder.

The child in me was alive again once inside the park.

Our group photo with the flag of China made of flowers as our backdraft.

The park is alive with vivid colors representing freshness and youth. Truly this place is a stress reliever.

THE GLASS BRIDGE
The design and construction of this glass bridge is indeed an engineering wonder.

ROAMING AROUND THE PARK

I cannot help but wonder how the Chinese could come up with this amazing design. This bridge is probably around five hundred meters spanning across two elevated mountains.

A souvenir photo with our Chinese host- Frank.
