BUDGET TRAVEL TO INCREDIBLE INDIA: VISIT TO AGRA, UTTAR PRADESH

This is a photo and video journal of our budget travel to the incredible country of India featuring our visit to Agra in the state of Uttar Pradesh.

TRAIN RIDE FROM GODHRA TO AGRA
Heading farther north of India is the beautiful city of Agra in the state of Uttar Pradesh which is a major tourist destination. It is the home of the world famous Mughal-era buildings most notably the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, and Fatehpur Sikri all of which are listed in UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Our travel route itinerary

Godhra Train Station

Our Indian friend booked us in a sleeper coach train going to Agra. The train ride will be around 13 hours with lots of stops at various stations.

The stunning beautiful countryside landscape is a relaxing view in contrast with the overcrowded noisy city.

A local passenger asked us what country we are from and we say we are from the Philippines. Then he shared with us this vegetarian snack like small biscuits but not so sweet. 

There are vendors selling peanuts on the train.

With a long trip such as this, my wife and I take turn to sleep.

This is a famous milk drink at this station.

ROAMING AROUND AGRA

Eating vegetarian food for days now for carnivores like us drive us really nuts. We are now craving for some meat. Then we saw this food cart serving rice and chicken at the side of the street. Its like we found HEAVEN. I immediately ate drumsticks and take out 1 more in our hotel.
